WIPO's new Nice Classification takes effect on January 1, 2026
The 13th edition of WIPO's Nice Classification takes effect on January 1, 2026. Key changes in NCL(13-2026) include optical products moving from class 9 to class 10 and emergency and rescue vehicles moving from class 9 to class 12. Filings before 2026 follow NCL(12-2025), while filings from January 1, 2026, must follow NCL(13-2026).
